How to reach the editorial desk with corrections, story ideas, permissions requests or advertising and privacy questions.
The quickest way to reach us is by email at [email protected]. We read everything and aim to reply within three working days. Please put one of the following in the subject line so it reaches the right person:
- Correction: something in an article is wrong or out of date. Include the article link and the sentence in question. Corrections are our top priority.
- Story idea: a topic you think we should cover, or a question you could not find a good answer to anywhere.
- Permissions: to reproduce or translate an article. Short quotations with a link back do not need permission.
- Privacy: questions about data, cookies or advertising, or a request under the privacy laws that apply to you.
- Advertising: our display advertising is handled through advertising networks rather than direct sales, but we will point you in the right direction.
What we cannot do
We cannot give individual advice about your own employment dispute, contract, visa or tax position, and we cannot recommend specific lawyers, recruiters or training providers. If a message asks for that kind of help, we will reply with the most relevant article we have and, where possible, the official body that can help.
Reader questions
If a question comes up often enough, we turn it into an article. If you would rather not be named, say so; we do not publish reader names or details without permission in any case.
